The VI government was finally just approved for funding for the road naming project. I have a friend who is a GIS grad and is interested in applying for a job with this project, who would he speak with or send his resume to?

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

🙂

Well, locally, DPNR seems to be the most likely candidate. There is a HUGE GIS component to most if not all the science and research that DPNR is peripherally involved in. Your friend should consider the various federal govt agencies that actually fund and operate the island's conservation interests. NOAA/ NOS out of Silver Spring MD is by far the most heavily invested in island mapping. They'll be here this week doing shallow water mapping work around stx, the most recent component of their extensive work around the VI. Good luck.
