Going to school at USVI STX

I am moving to STX in August for Nursing school. I was just wondering, are there studio apartments within blocks from the University? I am still choosing between renting a place or staying at the dorms. Anybody have any comments on the school too?

And one last thing, what cell phone companies are in STX?

Thank you!

I've had good luck with my Sprint phone when on-island.

Hey Roxy,

I’m going to start the nursing program at UVI St Croix this August too! My boyfriend and I will moving down at the beginning of August with a scouting trip in Mid July to hopefully secure a place to rent. I am really excited about finally getting in to a nursing program and the fact that it’s in the Virgin Islands doesn’t hurt.

Hi Roxy,

I was interested in possibly going to nursing school as well. Can you give me some more information on the program (cost, duration, full or part time) or point me to where I can find out? I'm already a social worker, luckily one of the careers in demand, but I was just curious about other options.

HI!

Good luck with school! I just left the island in the fall/winter to come home for a visit, and plan on going back soon. I would suggest living in the dorms maybe your first semester, that way you can get to know the island, and take your time finding a place to live. good luck.
