In less than 48 hours we're arriving on STX and one of the first things we need to do is buy a car. We'll be looking for a used car but we want to get it checked out by a mechanic before we agree to buy anything.
Does anyone have a good mechanic that they would recommend for this??

I have used both Jeff & Terry's on Northside Rd (close to McDonalds) and Marvin at Marvelous Auto Repair on Midland Rd. They are both pretty competent and seem to be honest.
