This may be a silly question but... Will a GPS brought down from Ma. work on STT?
why wouldnt it?...gps runs off satellites and if for some reason none go over STT then we are in trouble lol
so yes a GPS will work anywhere the satellites are over

GPS will work fine. You need to check if your unit has the VI maps loaded.
