I am starting demo and remodeling an existing restaurant. The grease bin on site is full and I need to remove it. Does anyone know who provides grease removal services. I have heard of companies in St. Thomas that will take and use it for bio-diesel. I would love to go that route if possible.

Would a call to vi waste mismanagement authority work?
Maybe they could refer someone to you since they don't manage waste, just contracts.

From the Yellow Pages under "Grease Trap Cleaning and Pumping" - Big Lorn's Sewage Removal in Frydenhoj (that's Red Hook), 779-1513. I used to give my fry oil away to local fishermen who had converted their boats to use it as fuel but DPNR apparently put a stop to the practice (doh). That may have changed but you could ask around Red Hook if you'll be using a lot.
