I am new to this BB and was quite pleased to see a few of you out there are Second Amendment supporters. I don't want this thread to turn into a flame war. I will do my best to portray my views cordially and clearly and if this subject gets out of hand I will just stop talking about it, I want to move to the Island to relax, not fight with people.

My purpose in relocating to St. Croix is not to mainly shoot my gun, as funny as that sounds, but the VI is still America and I am an American and I support the right of ALL of it's citizens, territorial and and all to carry. It would be nice once I get settled on the island to meet up with those of you who are in the near future relocating for a day of shooting at the SCMA. How great it would be to be in the most beautiful place on earth, exercising our SA rights with different like minded people with many different backgrounds under the Caribbean sun. Just a thought.

If anyone has any information on gun ownership on-island and how to legally go about it please post it here. As I receive information I will do the same. I've been meaning to call the St. Croix Marksmanship Association 340-773-8555. They are only open Sundays from 10am to 2pm so it's been hard with my work schedule to get a hold of them from all the way up here in Alaska.

I would contact Clayton Perry, The Gunsmithy (one of his businesses). He is one of the Licensed firearms dealers here and most of the Police Department gets their stuff from him. His e-mail is [email protected]. He knows all of the laws, carries his ATF badge at all times and is one of the most responsible gun owners I've ever met. He will definitely be able to help guide you...

Marty, thanks for the info. I am all for being a responsible gun owner, on an island with such close quarters...
