LIke Wille Nelson said in his song " it's time for the long arm of the law to put a few more in the ground".

solution is we all arm our selves

shoot first and ask questions later

maybe the thugs will get the message after a few of them gets shot up

open to any better ideas if u have one

+1 (tu)(tu)(tu)

Perhaps this will add some sense of urgency to complete the LaVallee police substation. It was moving along at a brisk pace until about April and since then has slowed down the practically nothing.

I agree arming yourselves and shooting first is great.

How about stripping the rights of these animals who treat others in such ways, why should they be treated humanely when they have no regard for human life?

Throw them all in one of those big empty tanks at Hovensa,
They try to climb out shoot them.
Once a week throw a loaf of bread in and let them fight for it like the Animals they are.
No Lawyers and no appeals your caught in the act in the Tank you go.
Time to get The message out. Enough is enough.

Armed Robbery in the tank you go.
Shooting or Stabbing in the tank you go.
Rape in the tank you go.
Illegal possession of firearm in the tank you go.
Etc Etc.

If there were serious consequences for actions then maybe some would think twice. Not all but some.

There are zero consequences for actions committed now.
And no they cannot be re-habilitated.

Interesting article in VI Source about incarceration in the USVI.

FTA:"...the U.S. Virgin Islands has the third highest rate of incarceration in the world..."
"There is something else quite striking about the Virgin Islands profile. United States prisons and jails are full of a lot of drug offenders. This is not true in the territory. A large percentage of those in Virgin Islands prisons (or held on the mainland) have committed very serious and violent crimes. Some 55 percent of the prison population consists of convicted murderers or rapists. The belief that you could safely reduce the prison population and save lots of money by releasing low-level offenders does not apply in the Virgin Islands."

This time two cops shot, maybe something will happen now. Lets see how long it will take to make an arrest! Gangster 101 says you never shoot a cop.

Glad to be of service.
Yes those pesky crime issues,
It's all gonna be fine the Governor says it will not be tolerated so problem solved.
Hell one or more of the 85 senator canidates should have a great plan you are all set.
Granting peace officer status to federal law enforcers would be nice but we can't have that now could we.
No no and why? Cause it just makes sense.

No where does it require residency to post here so deal with it.
I lived there long enough and have many friends and Family on Island so i will not be bullied by this group on here who continually defend and downplay the fact that things are out of hand.

Oh lets just sugar coat everything it looks better for the tourists.

All the negativity and calls for more violence are sad. That's not the way for peace.

It's actually worse than that. It appeared in the Burlington paper because the story was released on the Associated Press, to which lots of news organizations subscribe. I also saw it in the Boston Herald and several other newspapers.

Many of us still remember the Fountain Valley Massacre and how that impacted STX's tourism product for decades.
They need to concentrate on whomever is bringing in all these illegal wepons and throw away the key when jailing these hoodlums, not give them a slap on the wrist and toss back out on the street. Good Luck STX. Be aware of who is around you when you are out after dark.
Tis the season.

Better then bleeding out on the street. Or while just enjoying a nice dinner in a restaurant.
Happens all the time. No problem. That is the way it is here. Enjoy!

Saw a comment online also suggesting bringing the gallows back to gallows bay now that is a step in the right direction.

Glad they caught these animals, now let's see how long they get for a sentence. Anyone got a wager on that? How long? Anyone?

Sorry, this bleeding heart liberal has to come down on the side of less violence. Isn't one gun shooting wildly during a robbery enough? Who in the world wants another person (or two or three) also wildly shooting off a gun? The odds of actually hitting the criminal would be very low, while the odds of hitting a bystander very high. That's why NO POLICE agency in the country advocates this type of reaction.

You are correct about that Linda. However if the thugs know that no one is armed they become very brave. If citizens are allowed to be armed they may think twice. Here in AZ we now no longer need a permit to catty concealed.
I have never heard of a massacre or even a armed holdup at a gun show.

They don't advocate it publicly but here in Texas it happens and usually the person shooting gets the bad guy. First rule...if you want to carry a gun, be sure you know what you're doing with it. You have to have classes here to get your concealed weapon permit.

If the general population has a right to carry and the thiefs know they're not afraid to use them, perhaps they have enough brain cells to think twice and if not, shoot 'em!

One guy a year or so back shot 3 men breaking into his neighbors house while they were on vacation. Killed them all. Boo Hoo...they shouldn't have been breaking into a house. Wanna play? Be ready to pay!

Again with the "you don't live here do you", just stop!

We might be better off if they issue police badges to everyone. So if you shoot a cop we are going to get ya!

Heard the story what happened. So sad that this guy didn't have a vest. He was there to protect partiers at the bar and for a job, he died. So sad...

I am praying for his family tonight. Please have a moment of silence for this individual's family. Let's not bicker any more of what happened.
