Why is it that winter and cold weather always bring back thoughts of warm, tropical living? I think I know the answer but would like to send some feelers out to all three islands about setting up shop as a wedding, birthday, sweet 16, any and all videographer. I can even send samples! I've been to STJ, STT, & STX. Each has its special charms but I lean more towards STX simply because it seems to be more laid back, more user friendly (most of the times, from what I've read here) and less expensive. I'm not out to make mega bucks but would like to be able to cover the essentials; food, shelter, minimal clothing:), and an occasional night out with a few of the friendly folks on this board. I have all my own gear and a working business right here in alienville, aka Roswell, NM. But as I mentioned earlier, "Me & cold ain't never been friends!"

All thoughts and suggestions (other than: "Git over it, chilly willy!") are greatly appreciated.

You are one determined Nut! 🙂 I hope you know I am kidding. Remember me? At the get together at Island Paul's a while back??? Well, I don't know if you have read, but my husband and I haved returned to the mainland. Sigh. We are freezing at 60 degrees! My two cents: I think you would have more business working on STT and/or STJ. Although you might like living on STX. Be sure and get your business known at the resorts where you would get more weddings and stuff. I am sure you know all this and I hope you make your dreams come true. Have you finally convinced your wife or are you hoping to just get her there and then she will be convinced? 🙂

Great to hear/read from you again Teresa!

I either heard it from Paul or read it on the threads about you moving back:( Where's home again? Hope things work out for you and the family. I keep trying to convince her and I think one PMV should do it. My business here seems to be picking up so once those pennies multiply into larger denominations I hope to wave those tickets under her nose (maybe some roses too:) and away we go.

Thanks again for your support and encouragement!
John

ALEXANDRIA,

(apologies if spelled your name incorrectly)

It seems like, if anyone knows, you know! Would you consider STX a contender in the "Wedding/Island Video" market? If not, I will focus my efforts to STT and STJ....

Thanks,
John

It's a contender - but I know of at least one other identical outfit - I would go with the STJ and STT - perhaps others may differ

What a hoot!

I spent a week there one night! (rim shot) Not really, but sometimes I jot down whatever's rolling around inside that ol' echo chamber on top of my neck...

Hope life's good for you now, and prosperity rains down on the whole town of Roswell, GA!

If you send me a PM of where to send them, I have a gaggle of green guys for your kiddos..

Thanks again,
John
