Hope everyone has a wonderful day/long weekend.

I'm thankful it's finally stopped raining!
Also, of course for my wonderful family and friends and how lucky I am.

Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all.

Just wondering what are your traditions in the USVI for Thanksgiving?

Today we are going to try something different here in NY. A group of friends get together every Thanksgiving in the morning, bring a turkey and our host is going to deep fry them, and just sit around having drinks and food. Looking forward to it.

Happy thanksgiving to you too Alana and to everyone else!!! I am thankful that the Virgin Islands were not hit by any storms this year and that we are no longer suffering a drought. For those who might still want to help Haiti, read the last two posts from Haiti on stormcarib.com - really heartbreaking but also the poster is involved with an organization helping the area that was directly hit by Matthew. We are so very fortunate for what we have.

I am thankful for many things. The list is much too long to post here.

Happy Thanksgiving to all on this forum.

I am very thankful for a loving family and thankful to have spent most of my adult life here in the USVI with all its beauty and amazing people.

Don't forget pigeon peas and rice, guava tarts, (pineapple, coconut too.)
Love that potato stuffing if it's done right.
Can't be too sweet, must be moist, must have raisins and a bit of heat from hot pepper.

Sometimes we do a beach potluck and everyone brings a dish.
Turkey, ham, sides, salads and desserts, galore.
Not to mention rum, must have rum.
