*I've heard that there is horse racing in the islands. Is this true? and if so which island(s) and when are their meets. Also which breed, although I assume thoroughbred. Thanks - Jim

There is horse racing on St Croix. The track is across the road from the airport. Compared to what we're used to at Churchhill Downs, the quality of the horses is lacking a little, but they still run in a circle, they are still beautiful animals, and they still take my money. That's exactly the same thing the expensive horses at Churchill do.

St. Thomas has a horse track also. Again like Ric said probally much different then what you are used to, but the track is circular, they take money.... And I believe St. Thomas track is smaller then the St. Croix track. St. Thomas track is located in Bovoni area.
