I'm moving in a few weeks to work at RLS. I am wondering if anyone works there or can tell me a bit about it (either personal experience or work). So far everyone that I've spoken to has been so helpful and wonderful and I feel like I've pestered them to no end.
Thank you for any input!

I recently spent about 5 hours in ER, so I'm not sure if my positive comments about staff that I encountered during that time would mean too much, but everyone was very professional and I honestly felt I was in good hands - like you would hope/expect in ER.

Quietly - I don't really understand how the glass partition around the input clerks cage as well as that of the cashier, can be so filthy dirty in an acredited hospital! Finger prints and smudges all over it.........

Hello Kathy,

Might you be willing to post your thoughts here concerning working at RLS so others can benefit from the insight. Its a question that comes up often enough from nurses.

Thank you,
--Islander

I spent 6 days in ICU after my motorcycle accident, and, while I don't remember it, my wife has nothing good to say about it. She has since signed us up for air transport in the event emergency care is required.

Many locals will go to Puerto Rico for their health care, too.

I recently gave birth at RLS and found everyone to be professional and respectful of my wishes. In fact, we sent thank you baskets because it was obvious the staff of the Obstetrics/Nursery/Recovery Depts. do not get enough praise for the vital jobs they perform. That said, there were some outdated equipment and outdated mentalities (at least vis a vis deliveries).
