I need to stay overnight in STT after a surgical procedure at the hospital.

Any recommendations for a hotel close to the hospital for one night?

Crystal Palace or Green Iquana.

They are not within walking distance, but both are fairly close.

Bluebeards too. Closer to the hospital than the others, but not walking distance, but then again after a surgical procedure I am sure you are not walking!!!

Thanks to all!

I expect to take a taxi from Seaplane to Dr. Bacot's office, then on to the hospital. Then after procedure taxi hospital to hotel for overnight and taxi back to Seaplane next day.

Hope I can drive from Seaplane Christiansted to my home. Hope this plan is not overly aggressive.

I have been pain-free since Dr. Bacot injected my knee on Friday night! What a relief. First time without horrible pain since November 10.

Thank God for injections! Edward, if at all possible please try to get a friend to drive you to and from the plane here on St. Croix. Aside from the fact that I'm sure you'll be nicely medicated, you will be in pain and splinted. Driving like that isn't safe. I'll be praying that everything goes off without a hitch!

Edward, I work behind the hospital up the road from Dr Bacots ofc. Bella Vista is the closest, but Bluebeard's would probably be quieter and more comfortable, because they have restaurants, etc. If you want, I can meet you at the hospital after your surgery, and help you get settled in a hotel. I don't drive, but somebody can bring me there, and take us to the hotel. I hate to see anybody going through that alone, though I'm sure you're a big boy!

I'd pop a pain pill and ask to sit up front and enjoy the ride home. I've had a few same day procedures and nothing beats waking up in your own bed. It always hurts more the next day.

Edward,

I don't know when your procedure is and of course you know we won't be on island until the 17th. But if it's during the time we're there, we would be most happy to help you with transportation or anything else you may need. So glad to hear you're not in so much pain! You've always been so gracious to us. Please PM me if there's anything at all we can do to help!

Best Wishes!
Saundra
