Housesitting in STT

Hi,
In September, my husband and I are moving to St. Thomas. We are very excited about the move and currently looking for a place to rent or a house to sit (we have a cat). My husband is a government attorney and I am an artist and teacher, so we will be stable and able to provide good references. Ideally we are looking for a home for 4 to 6 months so that we have time to get to know the island and its neighborhoods before looking for something permanent. If you have a place that will be available or have any advice it will be a great help. We will be in St Thomas August 8th through the 14th on a PMV. Thanks!

Sincerely ,
Nina and Jason

IMHO, finding a house to sit is going to be next to impossible for someone from off island to acquire. Most folks that have somone house sit have a list miles long to choose from. Getting on the list could take several years. And that is PER house. I would recommend concentrating on finding a rental. Just my 2 cents.
