I ma sure this is a lodaed question. But assuming I get a job at the federal courthouse in st. croix, where should I start looking for affordable housing. There are three of us including a five year old. Doesn't need to be terrobly fancy--three bedrooms two baths

Yes. I am guessing it is a small one. But we have a office there

Presumably the Territorial Court at La Reine.

The District Court building on STX is near Christiansted across from mcDonald's, Subway and Banco Popular and near Caribbean Auto Mart.

Maybe someone who lives there can give you the neighborhood name?

Yes, there is another court house building in Golden Rock by McDonald's. (This is quite a ways away from Caribbean Auto Mart, but there is a Ford dealership near there.) I've never heard of anyone going there for court cases, though. All the activity you hear about is at the Territorial Court.

I have attended several conferences, hearings and trials there, so I am fairly certain it is an active courthouse. 😉

That said, I note from another post that you are a Fed. PD. I don't know where they maintain their offices. In most locales they are located within walking distance, but in this case I'm not sure.

What is affordable to you? For a 3/2 in a good neighborhood you are prolly going to start out price wise around $1500 more or less.
