Today, three years ago we arrived on STX. I thought I'd try a paint a word picture of how I spent my day.

Ric and I got up at 7 or so. Wonderful day, some breeze, a few white clouds. He had coffee, I had juice. We prepared for a beach/dive day. While Ric gathered his dive equipment together, I changed into my bathing suit and coverup and started filling up my beach bag. Let's see..sun screen, CD player and discs, extra batteries, my book, a crossword puzzle book, pencils, sun glasses, wallet, hair brush, and beach towel. Ric put ice and beer in the cooler. I made a container of fruit punch, raspberry rum and fresh squeezed key lime juice. Into the cooler it went, along with my beach glass. We loaded it all into the cars, as well as the beach chairs.

I drove down to Cane Bay. Ric went to N 2 The Blue to get an air tank. We met up at the Full Moon Beach Bar. He was meeting a friend and I was having brunch. I took his wallet and keys and he left to dive with his friend. Diana brought me a bloody mary and the Sunday Avis. I decided to have lobster benedict. I read the paper and visited with other patrons. The big discussion this morning concerned a party on Thursday for someone who is returning to school in New Orleans. I ate my breakfast, bought a glass of iced tea and walked across and unpacked the car - I was early enough to get a spot on the road. Found a good place in the shade, set everything up and sat down. Read for a couple of hours until Ric got back from his dive. Lots of people on the beach today. I saw several people I knew. Chatted a little, but mostly just sat. Ric and I snorked for a while. The water was warm and calm. We bought brats from Rosie of Rosie's Road kill. Back to the chairs. The rest of the day was devoted to reading, snorkeling, people watching and emptying our cooler. Ric did manage to take a little nap. By 5:30 we were worn out!! So back home for showers, light supper and watching the darkness fall as we finish up the contents of the cooler on the front porch.

Peace and love to all.

Hi Linda.

Happy Anniversary! It sounds like you had a lovely day. I'm shocked, however, to hear that you do your crosswords in pencil rather than pen! 😉

DNT,

It's hard to do crosswords in ink while drinking rum punches and sitting on the beach!! lol.

Here's a trivia question for you. Name a TV program that ran for 17 years and starred a series of 6 female impersonators.

Linda,

I very much enjoy Trivial Pursuit and I believe the correct answer is Lassie!

Ok smartie!! We play Trivia at Gertrudes on Monday nights at 7. You ought to check it out.(unless you are already a participant!) The night that question was asked, Ric was the only person in the room to "get" it.

I have a brain full of such useless bits of information -- but ask me my cell phone number and I have to look it up!

Have a good week.
Linda
