Helloooooo everyone,
first time posting but I read the post pretty often.
I am looking for imformation on spa's as I am currently going to school for massage therapy. I am interested in how many private and hotel spa's there may be. Is it feasible to have a private practice or work in the hotel sector? Will I be starving in the off season? Any help would be greatful.

Thanks bunches,
Amy

Welcome to posting on the board Amy. Which island are you considering?

Some folks work at hotels and also do private clients on the side, a couple days at a gym - things like that.

Even in the "off season", there are quite a few rooms booked at the hotels. You might not be overbooked for clients, but there should still be some business. You might also offer on-site massages at some of the larger companies where executives like to give themselves some perks. Hook up with a couple of personal trainers who cater to the owners of million dollar homes. People who hire a personal trainer would probably like a massage after the workout!
