Sometimes it's island-wide, sometime just small areas...it really is a roll of the dice. When I lived in Winberg for 7 1/2 years, I think the power went out more there than it does in Frenchman's Bay, where I now live, but that just may be my memory and the fact that I've been here longer. I really don't think, honestly, that one area of the island is going to be better or worse than another...anyone else have any thoguhts on this?

roki: I am on the east end but can't answer because I have a generator that kicks in auttomatically. I can't hear it, so don't have a feeling anymore for how long the current is out. 😛

If you want to study the whole WAPA thing, you should get a list of the feeders and the areas they supply. When there is an outage, WAPA describes it by feeder number.

I forgot my favorite joke: The LORD said: "Let there be light!" and WAPA said: "Not so fast..."

On STX, when it's out, it's usually for a short time and I hardly notice it. Where I work we are off the grid and don't lose power. Well, that's not exactly true, but if we lose power it is a BIG problem.
