Does anyone know when the ice Capades start today? Is it at Central high like before? The signs in the side of the road were a bit tough to see.

Can anyone report on this event? I saw the signs but didn't really believe that they could make ice here.

It's not ice...it is a teflon surface and they use special skates

So we won't be forming a hockey league anytime soon?

Thanks, unfortunately I was unable to make those times. I went two years ago to the "Flinstones on Ice" and it was fun for the kids but very, very loud. It was produced by a company out of Puerto Rico and I learned that Barney Rubble is "Pablo" Rubble there. The show was fun but it's a small surface of Teflon ice so don't expect triple axel's etc. 🙂 A very circus like atmosphere. If anyone went to this one I'd be interested in hearing how well attended it was and what you thought of it.

I played ice hockey through college and then adult league in DC before moving here and it is the biggest thing I miss living in the VI. I still have my NHL Center Ice Package and if I ever hit it super big I will build an ice rink (with about 1,000 solar panels) and start the VI Olympic Ice Hockey team! For now you may see me out at Canegeta from time to time with roller blades, a stick, and street ball by myself or with my sons trying to teach them to skate! Next step might be to buy some of that Teflon ice.
