Good idea to register with the local VA office. Radio ads running now are encouraging registration so you can take advantage of benefits like free medical transport to PR if necessary, use of community heath center on sliding scale, etc.

Rebate on property taxes if you own your home, free Veteran's license plates as well. There is even more if you enlisted while living in the VI. 🙂
