Hello again,

Do you have any advice or tips for making the trip as comfortable as possible? We have a large yellow lab we are bringing with us - he is a big baby and scarred of big noises. We keep hearing conflicting information about whether or not we should sedate him for the flight - some say it's dangerous, others say that since he is already nervous, he should be knocked out for the flight. We are flying with US Airways, so cargo hold is air conditioned, so heat hopefully won't be a problem. Any advice?

Hello, Janelle,
We sedated our Lab but not that much as she was fairly placid. Seven years ago when we did this the regulations asked that the dog have water and an appropriate sized travel cage. Ask your vet for the right drugs.
