After months of waiting for my VI nursing license and researching travel companies I finally had one of the companies submit my resume to the hospital for possible hire. I got the job in less than a week! Interviwed on my cell phone while at the Toledo Zoo. I finally get to be reunited with my husband (Jnrhome) who has been on STX for almost 4 months now. If there a any other nurses are looking into working on St. Croix, let me save you some trouble....go through Worldwide Travel Staffing. They by far have the best deal and they know what they're doing. Talk to Barra and tell her that Melissa Sutton referred you!

Somewhere around July 1st is my tenative arrival date. Jnr is going to come back to Ohio for a week or so to help me get everything at the house in order so that I can leave. Still have some cats to find homes for, a car to sell, and a bunch of boxes to mail and furniture to get rid of. Yikes!

Melissa
Am I correct in assuming that you are in Toledo? If so Island Rat aka Mark and my hubby and I would love to get togeather before you leave. I will be leaving a long post on the board sometime within the next few days updating all on our situation. It would be great to meet up with you though and talk StX with another understanding soul...

Eve,
I'm actually in Port Clinton but would love to meet you guys someplace. Just give me a call. The number is 918-766-2080. It's an Oklahoma cell, don't let the non 419 area code deter you.
Melissa

Sounds great! I'll Call after we get home from lunch. We are very familiar with Port Clinton area and love our little islands too!

Wow congrats.
I am a nurse and have decided to move to St. Croix after some research. I would also like to get my RN at the University. I am currently just an LPN. Can you tell me if and where they use LPN's and what the pay may be? or what it is for an RN.
Thanks,
Becky in Michigan
