Does anyone have a list or a link of what items are charged a duty (and what the duty is) coming into the territory via container out of Miami?
(excluding vehicles)

I have been searching, and can't seem to find anything online.

Thanks

Brilliant. Didn't even think of calling them. I'll see what they say.

You might want to call Customs.

There is a list and I think you can find it by googling customs us virgin islands. Basically, if an item was made in US it's duty free. Jewelry, liquor, watches, leather items, tobacco, and probably a few more items are duty free. It can get complicated because I think there's some issue about proof that the item paid duty already in the States. Best to have a local customs broker clear your shipments.

Found the information. Here is if for reference:

U. S. origin items shipped to the USVI are exempt from duties; however they will be subject to an excise tax. These taxes range from 0 to 6%. A few items, like cigarettes, are taxed at a higher level. Alcoholic beverages are subject to a flat rate based on volume.

Non-U.S. origin goods will be subject to a duty equal to the difference between the 6% the USVI normally levies on imports and whatever duty was paid on these items when they entered the U.S.( If there was a 5% duty charged at entry into the U.S., there would be an additional 1% charged upon entry into the USVI.)

For additional information about excise taxes, you can call the USVI excise tax office on 340-773-3766.

There is a customs duty on the importation of vehicles not made in the USA which is why I suggested calling Customs, if you need information on that. Here are a couple links I found for you.
