Evening!!

Need some advice! I was thinking about putting a small A/C window unit 5k to 8k BTUs just in my bedroom which is 15x9ft but im not trying to pay WAPA an extra $500 a month to run it. I obviously would use it sparingly and always turn it off when not home or even in my bedroom for that matter. I haven't had AC in 11 years but thought it might be nice. Anyone have any experience on how much extra in WAPA this would be each month. I understand this is a very strange question but any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

WAPA costs have gone down.
I've got a split unit in bedroom and have been using it a lot lately.
The cost is not near what it was a couple years ago.
Figure an additional $50 - $100 per month depending on usage.

Your AC will show the power usage rate. You can use your math skills and figure out your wattage use per month. Then multiply by your electric rate.
