income taxes

I was offered employment,and was wandering if the taxes
are the same as they are here in the states,income etc.?
Do you have high property taxes?And is insurance cost
similar?Thank you all for your response.Rob

First, Home insurance is very expensive. You have to buy hurricane insurance and it is based on replacment value of home. Other factors come into play like whether or not it is a masonry or wood home, if is has hurrican shutters. Suffice is to say I have a 3 bdrm, 2 bath home with an apartment and I pay $450/month for insurance. Property taxes are less than what I was paying in California. They are 1% of 60% of the appraised value per year.No state taxes. Federal taxes are the same.
