Hello all,
I am interested in moving to the islands and am planning on coming down in December for New Years to check it out and get a feel for the life. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Lindsey,
Its a good idea to do a research trip like you are planning. If you are using this time to look for work and intend on meeting with managers and the like; keep in mind that since you are coming during the holidays you may find folks are on vacation. There are a few books you might want to read like the Settlers Handbook for the USVI and Life in the Left Lane. You can check those out at http://www.vitraders.com. The moving stories bnk1227 mentioned are on this site, just click on the Home link at the top of this page and then go to the What to Expect section, there are 40+ stories. If you think of any questions while doing your research post them.
