Anyone else see the caravan of black SUV type vehicles traveling on the East Eand tonight - 10/21 about 5:15? Moving slow by grassy point with flashers on? Just curious! Looked like a Presidential motorcade!

Didn't see that, but we were at the Divi around 4:30 and there was a white stretch hummer along with several other cars and what appeared to be drivers standing around in the lobby. It seemed like something was 'about' to happen. I wish we'd hung around now, maybe we'd seen somebody important.

Out by Grassy Point? Maybe it was Mosler coming through with his presidential motorcade!

Nah, dude, that'd be a bike. That's the one thing I admire about the guy.

I haven't seen this particular one but I did see one about a year ago. I think it was an advanced scout team from the Secret Service. They must have decided to recommend St. Thomas as I seem to recall either Obama or Biden went there just weeks later.

The easiest way to tell on STX is to take a peek at the tarmac on the airport. If you see multiple large U.S. Air Force transports (typically C-17s and or C-5s as I recall) after seeing the black car parade then a detail is here (whether or not the dignitary is here is another question.)
