I am moving to STT on March 1st to either the Red Hook or Northside area, and need to know the name of an internet service provider to install cable internet. I do not use DSL currently (I live in the states), I use wireless cable internet. I will be bringing my own modem. Can anyone tell me who the ISP is down there? Thanks!!!! Cindy

We use Ackley Communications (you can Google them). They offer wireless high speed Internet connectivity at guaranteed speeds and their cost for residential service is $99/month but you need to be line-of-sight to one of their towers.

I have Choice.
It works fine MOST of the time. (I have wireless also)
The other day I moved the modem to a different window (west), and poof, it didn't work at all. I was told that the person who owns Choice lives out on Peterborg, and that you should point the modem out that way, since you can be sure that the owner(s) would have a signal.
