Just saw Iron Chef America and Cat Cora made a drink with maple syrup, light rum, and soda water. Must try...

Finally discovered how to make a dark n stormy using black strap rum. I'm calling it the dark n stormy lite.

The key in getting the recipe right was to keep reducing the amount of black strap until I was using none at all and just drinking the ginger beer. Best part is that it's light, refreshing, you won't get intoxicated, and a single bottle of black strap will last a lifetime!

PS - The black strap won't kill tan-tan after all. My next use for it is in the fish-kill spray bottle on the boat.

Try this one:

Put De Lime In De Coconut

2 parts Cruzan Coconut rum
1 part limeade (I use Crystal Light Margarita Lime -- less calories!)

I made this up about a month ago and I LOVE it!! 🙂

MIne is same rum but 1 part Roses Lime Juice, 1-2 parts Coco Lopez, juice of 1 lime, & top off with Mararita mix or sweet/sour mix. 2 -2 1/2 cups of ice in blender & yum, yum.8-)
