Probably shouldn't be posting after a few too many Mojitos but I just wanted to say thanks to this board and for all the the great folks who inhabit it. After so many years of reading, visiting and yearning to return I say without a second thought that the islands, and your comments are my second (hopefully soon to be first) home for information and incentive to get back to STX, STT (STJ a little too expensive at this time). I savor your thoughts, feelings and opinions, good and bad, on the VI and, as soon as I can, hope to join you. Right now the wind here is a steady 60mph from the SW and I look out my window and see small animals flying by with saddened looks on their faces. The sky is brown, a color that suitably fits the desert southwest this time of year. Been here too long and want/need/yearn to 'come home' to the islands.

Sorry, but I haven't dug deep enough into the threads to learn the reason why the 'Islander's' get-together's went away. Seemed like a wonderful way to meet and greet all you who are already there, with all of us 'wanting' to be there, too!

I've been there, (STT, STJ, STX) and I sincerely want to return, Obama's economic stimulus plan or not. Hope you are not too affected by it, other than tourism, of course, and are surviving well and thankful the beaches, sunrises, sunsets, pace-of-life is something you cherish forever.

Thanks!
Novanut

Hope to see you soon!!!

I agree with you Nova about saying thanks to all here. I check the posts every single day because there is always something interesting and new to learn. And if it wasn't for this board then I don't think I would of spent the savings I did to own a little piece of paradise on STX. And I would like to say THANKS also!!!!
