What a pleasant surprise this afternoon to be entering Solitude from the west and finding that pothole on the bend neatly filled in.

An even bigger surprise was discovering they filled in all of the potholes at the entrance to the Cotton Valley dumpster site.

NICE! (tu)

Glad to hear this!

It was interesting when the filled the potholes on our road, it took them all of 5 minutes to fill in about 15 potholes. Of course most of them were back in 2-3 months, but if they can do it so quickly why not just make a monthly run of the island starting on one end on the 1st and ending on the other end on the 31st? Start all over again next month and we wouldn't have pothole problems!

Or they could actually engineer the road's with crowning, drainage etc. but that will never happen.

i noticed that yesterday specialk that pothole in the bend by solitude was an accident waiting to happen. cars would swerve and go into other lane to avoid it. haven't noticed dumpster holes yet. glad to hear it though.

I quickly trained myself when approaching that bend to hang to the left so the car straddled the hole. Even today I found myself doing it out of habit. And I still approach the dump site with caution, too. i went this afternoon and was still amazed to asphalt where the big puddles usually are.
