I am looking at condos on the west side of Christienstadt. Is this a high crime area?
Thanks, daveb

Dave,

I used to live at Granada del Mar in that area 30 years ago and on visiting St. Croix again this past spring I was curious about what the area was like now. There is a housing complex built near there now, and some people on this message board have insinuated that it's not as safe as it used to be. Others argued that it was perfectly safe. So when we were down there we made a point of visiting the condo's on the beach west of Christiansted and looking them over. It looks alittle older-- as I do!-- but other than that, I could not see where there would be any problem staying in that area at all. We talked to several people who live there, and also some who were vacationing at the time and everyone seemed very happy with where they were. All said they would recommend staying in that area.
