LGBT Community? Yes, No?

Not sure which forum to put this in, but would like to get a read on the LGBT community, if any on St Thomas. The last few posts I can find were back in 2005 and 2006. Any comment on what it's like now? Bars, gatherings, etc? From what I can tell as long as it isn't flaunted most places are gay friendly. Any good hangouts? Just curious.

Cheers

Can't answer question about hangouts these days.
But there's many LBGT couples and individuals on all 3 islands.

Thanks, That''s good to hear. It's about what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. Maybe someone will eventually see this from the community and reply.

Cheers

Yes, Sand Castles on West end advertises being gay friendly. At least their website used to advertise that.

This place is pretty small, as long as your nice you can go about anywhere here. On STT anyway.

Lots of gay peeps on island. In STT 90% of my friends were gay men. It's a pretty big crowd and FUN! Ha! Always found myself akin to gay men for some reason - I'm a pretty big personality and find they can handle it 😉 I have a pair of besties on STJ that we go visit and they visit us. Although a few of our STT crew moved to FL we still have a fun group in STT and it's always rowdy at our usual spots. I think Stx is also pretty gay friendly, but the scene (gay or straight) is MUCH older. Despite the religiousness here - I've not seen first hand any issues in my circles. Actually on Halloween my 6'3 bestie dresses in hot drag, with 4 inch heels - he looks AMAZING. A few comments that night from morons in red hook but he looked better than 99% of the chicks that night lol. I don't know HOW he does it! I would break my damn leg in those on these roads! We hung with that couple mostly - like 4 nights a week lol, all over STT. Hull bay, red hook and yacht haven mostly. If you're single and cute, you'll make friends quick 😉 if you're a couple and extroverted you'll also find friends quick but ya gotta get out there. IME I made friends WAY faster on STT. Took a couple years to get a good crew here, which we finally have.
