Licensed Counselors??

Hello!

I am wondering if anyone has any information about qualifications for licensed counselors. I have read that the Governor recently passed a bill regarding the development of a professional counselors licensing board. Since this has not been finalized yet, are there certain qualifications for working as a licensed counselor?

My license is currently valid in many states but since the USVI does not yet have a licensing board, I am not certain if my license would be valid in the USVI. I tried finding information on the psychology licensing board but it does not indicate anything specific to counseling.

Any information you have or any advice on where to find answers is greatly appreciated! 🙂
