Is there any source that lists companies that offer discounts to locals? If not, can you please post known local discounts so I can make sure I get my discounts when I patronize? I'd like to know of discounts on all the VIs, because I'm going to St Croix next month, and frequently go to St John.

Thanks!

Oh! I know the Local Color stores here on St Thomas offer discounts to locals. AH Riise used to, but there have been so many changes, not sure if still applicable.

I usually do, but I thought it would help newbies if there was a list. Sometimes you don't think about doing a particular activity or patronizing a store or restaurant, but if you knew they had a local discount you would be motivated to try it.

Sorry, cannot support or encourage others to do do at CW.

Also - if you want local discounts you must provide a local driver's license or proof of local residency.

But there are others who offer local discounts. I'm pretty sure AH Riise and Local Color do. The catamaran out of Bolongo has had excellent local rates at times.

You said that you are coming to STX, are you moving here permanently or just visiting?

I would be visiting from STT. I've been trying to book the sea thru kayak on STX several times for at least a year, but haven't been able to book in advance as a solo.

It's hard for me to plan weekend solo trips to STX because the excursion providers usually have a 4 person minimum.

That's one thing I think everyone should do. It's just so beautiful, my boyfriend even got in and swam around. I'm too much of a sissy at night lol. The jellyfish blew my mind, I just wish I could have captured it on camera, no settings work, just have to see it in person.
