I was wondering has anyone been to any of the local nightclubs..not the ones that are mostly for tourists. Also are there any clubs that play strictly Reggae and Dancehall music. I am someone who has been to Jamaica several times and likes to mingle with the locals and stay away from the tourist hang outs.

I think you will find St Thomas very different from Jamaica. There really isn't such a thing as a "tourist hang out". If it is good everyone hangs out and if it is bad it closes down!!! The Greenhouse is always popular, but ask around as to what nights for what spots... The night club crowd is fickle.
