Hi everyone! What a wealth of information you are.

My wife and I are planning a relocation to STX and would like to look at the churches on the island. I am having trouble locating a comprehensive list with phone numbers on the Internet. Wondered if anyone recommended a printed resource or other web resource.

Thanks for any help!

Bob

We have all flavors of churches here. If you can be a little more specific as to the type you are looking for, I may be of a little more help. Also, you can access the yellow pages for the VI phone book on line. Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of a senior moment and can't remember where it is. Someone else on the board can probably tell you.

Thanks for that help Ric, I will locate the VI yellow pages on line as well, if nuttingb finds out before me, please let me know,,,we are also looking for a more "non-denominational" style of church(that is the type we attend now)I am also the Children's Ministry Director and would love to find something like that down there! 🙂

My husband spoke to the Hiring person(actually the owner of the business)and they are definately interested in him~:)

Only time will tell....my hubby thinks this WILL happen,we are starting to downsize(we needed to get rid of stuff anyways!)LOL-I will be honest, this will be a HUGE move and a bit overwhelming(ok, ALOT overwhelming!)

Sorry to ramble~

Hi Cathy and Ric.

I did find the online telephone book. Very nice. I still don't know all the cities on the VI so it is somewhat challenging to identify which ones are on STX. But this is a great start.

Cathy, my wife was a Ch. Min Director for our church up until last year too. She has moved on with other passions right now. Keep me informed on your search as we are looking for something similar.

Nikki,

I am a member of the Church of Christ also. The last couple of times I have come down, I have tried to call one of the churches of Christ down there and haven't been able to reach anyone, not even an answering machine. I stay on STJ, and would take a ferry over to STT go to church. I wanted to know if I should take the downtown or Red Hook and about how much a taxi ride would be. But unfortunatly, I haven't been able to reach anyone yet. I will be down again December 2nd, and am hoping to be able to get in touch with someone before then so that I can go to church when I am down.

If you have any information or contact info for someone on STT, that would be great. The info I got originally was from the website you listed in your previous post.

Thanks again.
