I am moving to St. Thomas next month and was interested in houseboat rentals. I can't seem to find anyone who does this. Is it just a shot in the dark?

You know we don't have houseboats in the VI right? We are surrounded by open water. Plenty of people selling regular boats at great prices, cause they are a pill to keep up. Most local landlords will not rent to you unless you are on island. Everyone says they are coming... Plan to spend a week or two in temporary housing while you look for a space.

Keep your eye on the Island Trader (Island Trader Link), as there are often live-a-boards for rent...that might work for you, as well...
