Long term Rentals?

$500 - $1000 a month?

Do they exist near the water AT ALL on St. Thomas, St. John or St. Croix? I need an extended island stay but want to make sure I can find a place in my price range. Everything on-line seems to be very expensive vacation villas.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey East Ender!

Long term to me would be about 6-7 months. Do you think there's anything out there?

Thanks!

Jamie: Most leases are a minimum of 6 months- can't promise, but here are a few from the Island Trader-
- Beachfront 1 bdrm. next to Bluebeard's Beach Club- aal appliances, cable, A/C. No dogs. $985
- Sapphire studio $750 (it is close to the water)
-Hull Bay 1 bdrm 1 bath, no pets $750

Does that make you feel better or not?

YES!!! Is the Island trader availabe on line?

It doesn't make me feel better, it makes me feel MUCH BETTER!

The one way plane ticket is already on it's way, this gives me plenty of hope and relaxes my nerves a bit.

Would you be so kind as to send along the contact information on those apartments to usvisoon2002@yahoo.com?

Warning East Ender - I may have more questions soon 😉

You can order an Island Trader through that banner ad - the Vacation Kit Ad. You can request Island Traders/Daily News Paper - so you can look into rentals in advance.

Jamie: See Islander's note about getting the Island Trader, but know that you are not going to want to rent something sight unseen. So, you will probably move here, stay in a guest house or B & B type arrangement while you are looking for your digs. I don't know your reason for being here 6 months, but you will want to pick an area convenient for your needs, and that will require driving around and figuring out your needs!! Go ahead, ask questions!!

East Ender: I am also relocating to st johns at the begining of January. I am looking for a rental for about six mounts. I will be staying at a friends house upon arrival until we find an apartment, will it be fairly easy to find a place at that time of year. And how much should i be expecting to pay?

Carolyn: You will be in arriving in the middle of high season. St. John is a niche rental market. You will definitely need to be there as most rentals go by word of mouth. If you are staying on St John with friends, you will make all the appropriate contacts when you are there. St John rentals rarely appear in the paper. Lots of people live on the east end of St Thomas and take the ferry each morning to work!
