Looking for a reasonable half-day or so private boat charter

I have friends visiting from Ohio at the end of March and they're looking for a reasonably priced boat excursion (half dayish with, ideally, a stop at Buck Island's beach for a bit). The hitch is they have two small boys (three and five) so going with one of the usual outfits isn't practical or cost effective. So they'd love to find someone with a small boat who'd like to pick up some extra money boating them around for four or five hours. It doesn't have to be big or glamorous, and they'd bring all their own refreshments and food.

Anyone know of anyone who might be interested in providing such a service?

St Croix? Maybe put a notice up at the yacht club asking for a USCG licensed Captain with access to a vessel who might be willing to help.

Buck Island may be a problem as you have to have a License to run charters out there I believe, and only 2 or 3 outfits have them (Big Beard, Miles and maybe one other).

sorry, yes, STX. And regarding the license--that only applies to going into the trail, and we're just looking to anchor off the beach, which doesn't require a license.

Yacht club idea is a good one, thanks

Kindred Spirits is a catamaran in the harbor that does day sails. Also Dee Osinski has a boat in Green Cay she takes people out in. can't think of her business name.
