Good Morning, My son wants a turtle for a pet. He has created a wonderful habitat out of a huge aquarium. Does anyone know where we can purchase a turtle on St. Croix.

I don't know about purchasing one, but I work at one of the animal clinics and we do get plenty of them. Mostly babies just hatched. I'll make a call and see what I come up with.

What kind of turtles come into the "clinic"?

I would try and find a Box Turtle that is not a baby. A baby you might have to keep in an aquarium to keep critters from carrying it away.
Box turtles eat both meat and vegetation. We had two in Az up until last year when we gave them away when we started spending more time here.
