You can't get it anywhere in the islands but can have it shipped from Amazon.

Public Works gets it from somewhere when they have dead animals to deal with.
Ask around.

Just trying to save the OP the trouble of searching. I use lye every day.

I'd check the older local hardware stores.
It used to be available in STT but haven't had a need so haven't looked for any lately.
If all else fails, as OT suggests, try Amazon.

Was never able to find it on island.
Amazon works very very well for it though

I do have the need and checked every single hardware store on STT/STJ. It was pulled from the shelves a long time ago (nationwide) as it's an essential component of methamphetamine. Any product to be found which contains it is NOT what you need for soap-making.

Correction. My bad. Amazon supplies it as do other stateside suppliers but you can't get it shipped here via USPS or air. When I ordered it from Amazon I had it shipped to a trans-shipper stateside (a personal connection) from where it was shipped here by ocean container (which is legal). I do the same now with the bulk supplies I use. Sorry for the misinformation but, as I suggested in my PM, you may want to consider doing melt and pour soaps rather than CP and thus eliminate the need for lye.
