Anyone who rents a personal vehicle willingly to a person on any of these islands is insane due to the liability issues that WOULD result. Period!

With all due respect, you can't tell immediately that this ad is a scam? Suggest you reply to it.
OT, the renter is in STT, with a local STT number, and willing to meet in person to receive payment

Business address, business license? You do realize how easy it is to get a "local" number on a burner, meet someone in a public place and accept a check in payment which can very quickly be converted to cash? But if that sort of deal sounds good to you then go for it but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
