Is anyone interest in forming a relay team for the STX Ironman. I volunteer for the run.

Details shown below:

Project St. Croix, the producers of the Captain Morgan Ironman 70.3 St. Croix Triathlon has announced the inclusion of a new event: the Sprint Triathlon Relay. The Sprint Triathlon has been a very popular part of the Ironman 70.3 race for 10 years, giving many individual athletes their first taste of competition in the Virgin Islands’ greatest sporting event.
The relay will allow even more athletes the chance to feel what it is like to race in front of thousands of spectators on one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The race is made up of a .5-mile swim, 8-mile bike and 4-mile run. Teams can be composed of either two or three members, and the top three teams will receive awards.
Registration for the event will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, in Kings Alley. The race entry fee will be $60 per entrant and will include all perks available to Ironman competitors, including official finisher medals, official race T-shirts, Carbo Fest and Award Banquet tickets.
For more information, call Stamina Sports at 718-6749

You might do a search on facebook for St Croix VI Buy or Sell Your Stuff. When my husband was looking at a LeMonde bike selling there he was asked about connecting with folks who were doing the Triathalon.

Hopefully you've found some teammates! If not, definitely do stop by Stamina. Theresa Harper is a great resource for connecting people to train together, too. Her email is [email protected] - once you're on her email list, you'll never miss out on another swimming/cycling/running/triathlon event in St. Croix again! 🙂
