Another special day off for "non-essential" Executive Branch workers:
I got a chuckle out of the notation that the commissioners/directors decide exactly who's "non-essential". Guess if you didn't contribute to the comish's brother's daughter's husband's nephew's wife's baby shower this year you're going to be working today ... 😀

Seems it wouldn't make much difference this week as some may not have received their pay in time for the holidays anyway ...

Sucks for people who called BMV Wednesday and were told they would be open today then get down there to find them closed.

Kind of like the lady at the airport security office, the takes Wed-Fri off for thanksgving and Christmas Eve, Eve, Christmas Eve and Christmas. what! 3 days might as well take monday and Tuesday as well.

I hate when they do this crap right at the end of the month. Screws me up for tax filing/payment. They are going to be really busy on Monday.

Everything government wise will no doubt be shut down from from around Dec. 23rd until after New Years and then we have Three King's Day.
