I was out west yesterday and decided to drive thru the rain forest to get back to C'sted. I could not believe how bad the road is...almost impassable
There was a rental jeep behind me, but after less the 1/2 mile they turned around.
Very few cars and no cabs and there was a cruise ship in F'sted.
I can not imagine how first responders would get up the road if there was a fire or health issue.
And what about business on the road?
Domino Club closed early because of lack of business.
Mr Mapp wants tourism to be STX's salvation, but a scenic drive like this is not maintained?
I thought STX had all kinds of $$ for road repair.
Where did these $$ go to ? A new car maybe ??

It was bad in July, can't imagine how bad it is now. Guess I'll find out in a few weeks.

I live off Mahogany Rd, but, go though La Grange now. I know several people who live up Mahogany and my heart bleeds for them to have to do that road daily. But, the section that was formally known to locals as 10,000 pothole road, has now been paved and makes my cut through much faster when I cut through by way of Paradise Rd to Sajah Farm and on east to C'sted.
