Check this out - these are the directions I followed. Too hard to find by 4x4 even if it is passable anymore. Last fall it was barely.

Tan Tan tours has been taking tourists there in their jeeps, so the off-road "road" must be somewhat drivable. The rain lately might have caused some problems though. Once the road/trail is washed out it can be a while before someone fixes it again.

Hmm... it is wonderful to Hike there by foot, precisely because it is quiet and serene, away from cars, noise, buzzle, fumes... Trail from Carambola is an easy hike, about 90 minutes of walk if you go slow. Trail from Annaly is quite a steep climb back up, but completely doable for anyone in normal healthy condition. No noisy 4 wheelers needed!

If you go up the road to a path that leads thru some "woods" it is mild enough that I was able to make it w/o problems at over 200 lbs. THere is a much steeper way, but take the easy way.

I was just on tan tan a few days ago. it was dry and the rear driveshaft went out. i wouldnt reccomend going on the path uinless you have experice with 4x4 and also the path, . And if its muddy and wet, you HAVE to be good at off-roading and havea a car sutied for those conditons ( i,e LIFTED WRANGLER WITH BIG TIRES). sorry i dont know the directions, i just remebred lots of turns throught little dirt roads in the jungle.

JUST MY 2 CENTS...
