Does anyone have part D medicare drug coverage originating from a state of residency other than the VI, that provides coverage for prescriptions filled in St Croix? We've been finding the networks do not seem to cover any pharmacy in the VI..for policies in effect in 2014...except for the AARP part D policy. Never had this problem before, so wonder if this is related to the new Obamacare exclusion of the VI from all their rules...

AARP / united healthcare is the only company offering coverage in the USVI.. The good news is that coverage costs less than same plan in Florida.

Thanks. that was what I thought, but wasn't sure. I was inquiring for someone who is actually not a VI resident, but a part-timer, so has to buy his coverage in the states, though needs it to work for him while he is in the VI. The agents for AARP have no clue, so hopefully the pharmacy coverage will network in stx as well. Going with AARP since it is the only provider in the VI, his Blue Cross coverage used to work in the VI but will not next year.

I have Part D and have had no problems with getting it accepted at Mt. Welcome Pharmacy!

You can call 1-800-633-4227 for clarification. Part D is certainly available here but how that applies to a non-resident is a question only Medicare can answer.

You know, not really sure who mine is with. I'm in states having shoulder surgery and accidentally left cards on STX. Whoever I'm with was chosen by the folks at Medicare, can't remember, sorry. Just call the pharmacy and they will be glad to tell you whether they accept or not.

You have a little time left to change your plan during this enrollment period, I think.
