Hello and cheers! I'm a new resident on STX and looking for suggestions to meet people. I am going to look into volunteering and a class at UVI. Any other ideas would be welcome. Everyone is so very nice, saying good morning etc. I am by myself, semi retired, female. Very interested in music and food!! Thanks

Best way to meet people is just be friendly and strike up a conversation.. at least that nevre fails for me, but I'm quasi extrovert.

I agree with LF above. I'm off island until the 16th but, will be at Rythms that next Thursday. We just started our team, so we are small and would love for you to join us! Ask for the "Comers" team!
Also, The Blue Mutt on Company St. In C'sted needs volunteers to operate their non-profit store. The have art classes there as well, for beginners on up.

Ranbow Rebels went DOWN last night to the "virginians" a visiting group that will be here for a month @ trivia... they destroyed us lastnight.. haha
I hope they sit closer so the shittalkery can ensue.. it was pretty funny between us and rainbowrebels last-night. Our banter had the whole bar cracking at certain points (which I heard used to give you free drinks... no longer ;(, oh well).

Might have to come out for trivia. My trivia buddy is coming to visit and haven't done trivia for a while. Watch out for Cameltoejam!

Thanks to all !! Sounds like Trivia @Rainbow Beach is where it's happening! I will definitely check it out, I think I'm pretty good at trivia. I will contact Cruzan Cowgirls and volunteer. Bingo too. I went to Mango Melee with a very nice lady from this Forum - fun. You guys are the greatest.
