I have been "lurking" on this site as well for some time now and I've finally secured a job in St. Thomas!
Yea!!
I will be doing a PMV next week and really want to know where is the best place to meet locals! I also have a dog that is coming with me (my PMV will be somewhat long!). Any bars/restaurants/beaches that allow dogs too?
This is such a great site! I love it! It helps fill the aching for the islands!

Vessup Beach on the East end is your best bet for dogs. It's not crowded, and very nice. I'ved gone to Lindquest beach the past 2 weekends and a guy there has denied access, saying that is Private property..??? does anybody know what's going on????

Hi Luis.

Yup, I too have encountered a guard (and his dog) keeping people off of Lindqvist beach. Here's the story: http://www.onepaper.com/stthomasvi/?v=d&i=&s=News:Local&p=1142054067
