Anyone know where I can buy one? I went to my bank for either a money order or a cashiers check, thinking that may not be my least expensive option, but it would be the simplest. Wow! $10 for a money order and $20 for a cashiers check. Stateside, Circle K has them for 79 cents. There must be somewhere I can buy the occasional money order for the occasional monetary transaction where paypal, debit card or credit card will not do. And for less than $10! Thanks for your help.

Nothing closer to Red Hook? Not Food Center, a gas station? I know Red Hook Mail Center doesn't, but what about the other place like that under Fat Boyz? Any idea how much the post office charges?

I've never purchased MOs anywhere other than the PO! The last time was probably a year ago and the charge was minimal. The Tutu Park Mall PO isn't far from RH and if you don't have a car you can always hop on the safari.

I have a car. I just end up doing more shopping (read: spending) when I venture farther than Red Hook. :$)

Post office money orders are easier to cash for the recipient than other types, so I've only purchased postal money orders, and if somebody is sending me money, I insist on a postal money order.

You can't pay by PayPal instead of money order?
